WalterLynch — animated brand lockup

The monogram draws itself stroke by stroke, the wordmark fades in letter by letter, and the reflection blooms last. Delivered as a live web embed plus looping video for slide galleries.

Gold-on-black mark for the End of Summer event series, extended into a full brand system.

Badge / seal

Benetia Johnson Drum Corps

Illustrated commemorative seal for a youth drum corps — portrait, horns and drums inside a gold ring.

Corporate mark

1st Choice Associates

Clean corporate mark for a real estate firm — motion bars paired with a confident sans wordmark.

Script lockup

Miz B Entertainment

Custom script lockup for an entertainment and event-production brand, built to hold up on stage screens and print.

Campaign emblem

Help Save Democracy

Get-out-the-vote emblem in classic flag colors, produced for buttons, stickers and social.

Campaign emblem

Help Promote Democracy — Vote 2024

Companion 2024 emblem for the same civic campaign, with an illustrated centerpiece between the two parties.

Logo & wordmark

The Facial Bar

Identity for a skincare and facial studio — a single-line profile drawing paired with a soft, modern lowercase wordmark, shown here in the reversed one-color treatment.

Monogram

Bert Reid Productions

Music-production monogram for the late Bert Reid — a bold BR built from a solid black B and a green slab R, with the wordmark reversed to white.

Architectural monogram

D+DG

Monogram for an architectural planning firm — blueprint blue, with the plus sign locking the two practices together.

Illustrative mark

Tas

Chef's mark for Tas — a calligraphic signature drawn into a face, with the toque implied by the surrounding stroke.

Wordmark

ALO

Wordmark for a financial planning firm — fluid lowercase letterforms in white on brand blue, drawn with a single connecting swash.

Logo & wordmark

Quarter Note Productions, LLC

Music-production identity built on a QN monogram knocked out of a full-spectrum gradient field, with an outlined wordmark locked beneath it. The spectrum steps in live — green to blue, top to bottom.

Case study

EOS³ — full brand system

Brief

End of Summer needed one identity that could work as a tiny social avatar, a printed invitation, embroidered apparel and large-format event signage — without being redrawn each time.

Approach

The EOS³ monogram was built as clean vector geometry first, then locked to a single gold (#D4AF37) on rich black so it holds contrast on screen, on garment and on press. A wordmark lockup and clear-space rules came next.

Delivered

Primary mark, wordmark lockup, palette, usage sheet and production files (AI, SVG, PDF, PNG), plus an animated logo intro and a motion invitation cut for social.

Case study

National digital banner production

Brief

Agency campaigns for Chick-fil-A, State Street and the New York Lottery ship as full banner suites — leaderboard, half-page, rectangle, skyscraper and mobile — on tight media deadlines with legal copy that cannot be cropped away.

Approach

I build one master layout with a defined type hierarchy and safe areas, then re-compose (never just scale) each placement so product, headline and disclaimer all stay readable at 300×250 and at 970×250.

Delivered

Spec-compliant static and animated banner sets, retina assets, packaged working files and print-side mechanicals — reviewed against each publisher's weight and dimension specs before handoff.

Trailer / edit

Book Trailer

Period-set book trailer — concept, art direction and edit.

Behind the build

Book trailer — concepts & outtakes

Key frames, wardrobe studies and motion passes built while developing the trailer. Not everything made the final cut — but every frame moved it forward.

Key frame

Sunrise at the depot

The opening beat — the boy, the mother in the doorway, the engine breathing steam. This look set the palette for the whole piece.

Concept

The window, the hat

Father in the fedora, meeting the boy at the coach window under Penn Station light. A direction I loved but ultimately cut for pacing.

Alternate

Arrival — no hat

Same reunion, played straighter: no hat, warmer glass, reflection doing the work. Kept as a study in how wardrobe changes the read.

Concept

Brooklyn kitchen — doorway

Family blocking test with the father entering from the hall. Built to check period detail: cabinets, dinette, curtain light.

Alternate

Brooklyn kitchen — daylight

A second pass with warmer 35mm grade and looser staging. Not the final look, but it taught the final look what to be.

Concept

Window — the close read

A tight close-up on the reunion at the glass — boy inside, father leaning in from the platform. The emotion read beautifully, but the framing strayed too far from the piece's rhythm, so it stayed an outtake.

Motion test

Depot — moving pass

First animated pass off the depot key frame, testing steam, parallax and how long the boy could hold the frame.

Motion test

Anamorphic pass

Alexa 35 / vintage anamorphic treatment — flare, breathing and grain test that informed the final grade.
